The book ‘Trade Development through Harmonization of Commercial Law’,  edited by Muruga Perumal Ramaswamy and João Ribeiro (UNCITRAL Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific and New Zealand Association for Comparative Law, 2015), was launched yesterday during the 2015 UNCITRAL Emergence Conference on Harmonising Trade Law to Enable Private Sector Regional Development’. This book collects several papers that were presented during the 2014 UNCITRAL Asia-Pacific Fall Conference ‘The Development through the Harmonization of Commercial Law’ which took place at the University of Macau on 17 and 18 October 2014. The book includes includes a chapter by yours truly titled ‘Harmonisation of Arbitration Laws in the Asia-Pacific: Trendy or Necessary?’ (pp. 217-231).
