125 companies dissolved in Macao in the third quarter…
Macao saw a total of 125 companies closed in the third quarter of 2011, with the value of registered capital amounting to 23 million patacas (2.87 million U.S. dollars), according to figures released on Monday by the Statistics and Census Service. Of these companies, 37 operated in Wholesale and retail sector, while 25 were engaged in Business service in the period, the figures indicated – Philstar.
…and 850 new companies incorporated
A total of 850 new companies were incorporated in the third quarter of 2011, up by 8.7 percent year-on-year, the Statistics and Census Service said. The majority of the new incorporations are operating in wholesale and retail (341), business services (144) and construction (96). Almost 60 percent of the new companies were established solely by Macau shareholders, while 106 were joint ventures between local shareholders and businessmen from other countries or regions – Macau Business.
