How Interest-Free Deals can Prove Costly: an interesting article on 0% financing or deferred-interest plans offered by some retailers.

Once again, the problem focuses on consumer’s right to information and the low level of information that most consumers (do not) have. Sometimes we can truly speak of illiteracy. Consumers should be especially careful about the payoff date and think if they really can afford to buy the product, otherwise they can end up with a hefty interest rate plus retroactive interest added to the bill.
